The Kenwood Symphony Orchestra is a cornerstone of the Twin Cities’ musical landscape, blending a rich history with a strong commitment to accessibility and community engagement. Founded in 1972 as the Kenwood Chamber Orchestra and evolving into a full symphony in 2003, the ensemble brings together 50+ volunteer musicians under the artistic direction of Yuri Ivan since 2007. Based in Minneapolis and performing at multiple venues around the metro, the orchestra works in concert with partners like The Metropolitan Ballet to deliver free concerts and serve underserved communities.
