Kids Dance Outreach Tickets

Kids Dance Outreach (KDO) is a renowned Indianapolis-based nonprofit dedicated to providing tuition-free dance and arts education to children, including those with disabilities. Founded in 2012 by Michael J. Johnson, KDO has grown into a trusted partner for families seeking high-quality, accessible arts experiences. As an Indiana Associate of the National Dance Institute (ANDI) since 2018, KDO combines discipline, creativity, and community engagement to empower young dancers across central Indiana.

KDO’s mission centers on removing financial and accessibility barriers while delivering professional, inspiring teaching from accomplished artists. Their work has touched more than 24,000 children through in-school programs, community outreach, and performance experiences. A 2023 documentary, When We Dance, highlights the organization's impact and the dedicated teaching artists who bring this mission to life.

In addition to its ongoing programs, KDO stages a milestone annual Event of the Year—a professionally produced performance at a major venue. The most recent edition (2025) took place at Butler University’s Howard L. Schrott Center, showcasing the talents of young dancers across the community.
