Killerpilze burst onto the German music scene in 2002, forming in Dillingen an der Donau and quickly building a dedicated following with their catchy blend of pop rock and pop punk. The band’s early years saw them signing with Universal Music (2005–2009) and releasing chart-topping records that captured a youthful, energetic spirit. Their 2004 debut, Von Vorne durch die Punkallee, set the tone for a string of fans’ favorites, culminating in the gold-certified Invasion der Killerpilze (2006), a landmark release that remains a highlight of their label era. After a hiatus announced post-2019, lead singer Jo Halbig has pursued solo work, while the band’s legacy continues to inspire new material and live appearances. In 2025, Jo Halbig is touring across Germany with dates in Nürnberg, Berlin, Frankfurt, Köln, Hamburg, Hannover, and München, alongside ongoing social media activity and project updates.
