The live experience
What reaches the room
Kings Of The Iron Mic is a cornerstone of Cleveland's hip-hop open-mic and battle scene, born in 1999 under the guidance of George Goins, known as Pooh Manchew. The series has showcased rotating local and guest MCs, backed by dedicated DJs, and has become a community hub where lyricists sharpen their craft and audiences experience dynamic live performances. While the original run culminated in 2016, the Kings of the Iron Mic legacy continues to be remembered in Cleveland’s streets and venues where battle culture thrived.
