The Kitchener Blues Festival began in 2001 as a single-day event and grew into a celebrated multi-day festival featuring 35+ acts across downtown Kitchener. Known for its vibrant free shows and community spirit, the festival showcases top blues talent alongside local favorites. In 2025, the festival runs August 7–10, with main stages at YNC (Kitchener City Hall), the OLG Clocktower Stage in Victoria Park, and the Europro BIA Stage in Downtown Kitchener. A fundraising concert kicks off the weekend, continuing the tradition of giving back to the local arts and music community. The festival also highlights 12 Bar Blues locations at downtown eateries and venues such as Bobby O’Brien’s, Crabby Joe’s, Dallas Night Club, TWH Social, The Boathouse, Grand Trunk Saloon, and Sugar Run, offering a well-rounded experience for every blues fan.
