Lamont Cranston is a storied Minnesota blues and roots band formed in 1969 by Pat Hayes (Lamont) and his brother Larry Hayes, drawing its name from The Shadow’s alter ego. Over decades, they’ve built a reputation for raw, harmonica-driven performances and collaborative spirit, featuring notable artists like Bruce McCabe. The band earned regional acclaim, including a long-standing spot in Minnesota music circles and City Pages’ Best Twin Cities Blues Band recognition, before sharing stages with giants such as The Rolling Stones on a North American tour leg in 1981.
