Biography
Tami Lee Hughes is a celebrated violinist who debuted with the National Symphony Orchestra at age 16. Her career spans performances at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and collaborations with ensembles like the Sphinx Virtuosi. In 2016, Hughes launched The Legacy Show as the centerpiece of The Legacy Collective, a program designed to illuminate African-American history and culture through music, spoken word, and compelling visuals. The show bridges classical heritage with modern genres, inviting audiences to experience history through a sonic tapestry that includes chamber music for violin and piano as well as Afro-American repertoire.
