Lemolo emerged as a pivotal force in the Pacific Northwest dream pop scene, releasing their debut album The Kaleidoscope in 2012 on Lemolo Music, LLC. The record earned critical recognition, including KEXP’s top listener-voted albums for 2012 and Google Play’s Best Unsigned Artist of 2012. City Arts Magazine named Lemolo Best New Seattle Band in 2013, signaling the arrival of a distinctive voice in indie music.
The duo continued with Red Right Return in 2015, expanding their dream pop palette with extended tracks like One To Love and White Flag. The album reaffirmed their commitment to emotive textures and cinematic arrangements, again under Lemolo Music, LLC. In 2019, Swansea showcased further growth and self-release, earning KEXP’s Top Ten Records of 2019 accolades from John Richards and Morgan Chosnyk, cementing Lemolo’s status as a cornerstone of contemporary indie music.
In 2020, Meagan Grandall contributed harmonies on Pearl Jam’s Gigaton, marking Lemolo as the first female backing vocalist on a Pearl Jam official release—an achievement that highlights their lasting influence in the broader rock landscape. A notable live moment came in 2024 with Voortex Live alongside the Wenatchee Valley Symphony on September 1, a performance that blended their dream pop sensibilities with orchestral textures.
