Let The Good Times Roll: A New Orleans Gumbo brings the rich history and vibrant soundscapes of New Orleans to the stage. Conceived and written by Tony Award winner Jack Viertel, this musical journey is brought to life under the direction of Sara Edwards with music supervision and orchestrations by Sonny Paladino. The show traces the city’s musical lineage from Jelly Roll Morton to Bessie Smith, through Fats Domino, The Meters, Dr. John, Harry Connick Jr., and The Neville Brothers, offering a celebration of rhythm, culture, and storytelling that’s as welcoming as a second line parade.

Upcoming performances will open in Phoenix, AZ, at the Hormel Theatre from August 6–31, 2025 (opening night August 8) with an extended run through September 7, 2025. A concept album released by Joy Machine Records in August 2025 adds a sonic memory of the show, featuring performances by prominent artists and a guest appearance by Rebirth Brass Band. The project is described as a world-premiere recording led by producer Sonny Paladino.
