People behind the production
Lights Out On Broadway, better known as LOOB, is New York City's go-to curated open mic for Broadway performers and enthusiasts. Founded by Derrick Davis and Chondra Profit—both seasoned Broadway performers—LOOB launched in October 2014 at Bar URBO in Times Square. From its early days with host Angela Birchett and The B Side Band to a later monthly run at the Green Room 42, LOOB established a format that combines a pre-planned, curated lineup with a live house band backing guest performers. The move to virtual stages in 2020 kept the momentum alive during the pandemic, reaffirming LOOB’s flexible, creator-first spirit. While there hasn\'t been a public record of a 2025 tour or a steady NYC venue in recent times, LOOB remains a significant name in the Broadway open-mic scene. Follow LOOB on social media for announcements and future appearances.
