Loamlands emerged from Durham, North Carolina, as a collaborative project led by Kym Register and Will Hackney. Over time, the project evolved to feature Kym Register + Meltdown Rodeo, forming a distinctive voice in American indie-country with narrative-driven Southern storytelling and LGBT-friendly folk.
