The London Schools Symphony Orchestra (LSSO) is one of London's longest-running youth orchestras, founded in 1951 by Dr. Leslie Russell. Based in the capital, LSSO connects young musicians with a broad and crossover repertoire, presenting three annual concerts at Barbican Hall as part of the Guildhall Young Artists program. The ensemble is known for welcoming premieres and new commissions created for LSSO by alumni and established composers, reflecting a strong commitment to both tradition and innovation.
