loscil is the project of Vancouver-based producer and composer Scott Morgan, an influential figure in ambient and experimental electronic music since 1998. Emerging from a background in lush, textural soundscapes, loscil has built a diverse catalog across prominent labels including Kranky, Glacial Movements, and Ghostly International. The project gained widespread attention for collaborations such as Colours of Air with Lawrence English (2023) and Chroma (2024), noted for its intricate use of organ textures sampled from Brisbane's Old Museum and its ability to blend spacious ambience with precise technical detail.
