Lowen is a dynamic progressive doom project fusing death/stoner metal with traditional Middle Eastern influences. Fronted by Nina Saeidi on vocals and traditional instruments, with Shem Lucas on guitars and Cal Constantine on drums since 2022, Lowen creates atmospheric, heavy soundscapes powered by tahrir vocals and microtonal phrasing inspired by Mesopotamian and Iranian musical traditions. Key career milestones include the 2024 release Do Not Go to War With the Demons of Mazandaran (Church Road Records), which earned a place on Metal Hammer Prog Albums of the Year (No. 2) and Kerrang! year-end list (No. 29).
