Make Me Famous is a compelling performance and documentary-style project that delves into the 1980s Lower East Side and East Village art scene through the lens of artist Edward Brezinski. Directed by Brian Vincent and produced by Heather Spore for Red Splat Productions, the film blends documentary insight with live-stage presentation to explore themes of fame, erasure, and a transformative era in American art. The project made its world premiere at NewFest on October 17, 2021, and received a broader US theatrical release on June 22, 2023. The work has since been showcased at independent venues including Hallwalls (Buffalo) and Rosendale Theatre, often accompanied by Q&A sessions that deepen audience engagement with the era and the artist’s perspective.
