Manhattan Opera Studio (MOS) is a NYC-based young artist program and summer festival dedicated to cultivating the next generation of opera singers. Based in the heart of New York, MOS combines rigorous training with high-profile performance opportunities, connecting aspiring artists to the city’s rich operatic heritage. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Katerina Kakantoussis (appointed in 2025), MOS continues to expand its summer festival offerings, including fully staged operas and aria/scenes concerts that showcase rising talent in intimate and prestigious settings.

Past MOS productions have graced renowned stages, including a 125th Anniversary Gala at Carnegie Hall, The Magic Flute, and Die Walküre. The organization has staged aria/scenes concerts at Lincoln Center’s Bruno Walter Hall and hosted programs at The National Opera Center for summer festivals. MOS auditions for the 2026 Summer Festival are currently announced, with audition dates such as December 14, 2025 at The National Opera Center.
