Manuel Hernandez-Silva is a renowned conductor with a career spanning Europe and the Americas. Born in 1962 in Caracas, Venezuela, he trained at the Vienna Conservatory and earned early recognition by winning the Forum Jünger Künstler Conducting Competition as a student. His leadership roles include Chief Conductor of the Murcia Symphony Orchestra from 1991 to 1994 and, since 2014, Principal Conductor of the Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra. Hernandez-Silva has been closely associated with OsN Navarra and several other Spanish ensembles, while also guest conducting across continents. Notably, he led the 2018 premiere and the 2019 Deutsche Grammophon recording Cantos y Revueltas with Pacho Flores and the Real Filharmonía de Galicia.
