Founded in New York City in 2003 by Alberto Lopez Herrera, Myrta Duran, Daniel Jaquez, and Juan Castaño, Mariachi & Calpulli Mexican Dance Company is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to celebrating Mexican and Mexican-American cultural heritage through dynamic dance and live music. Their education program, Calpulli Community, began in 2006 to provide donation-based youth classes and broad community outreach.
