People behind the production
The Martin Luther King Jr. Choir, known locally as the MLK Chorale, is a dynamic, open community choir rooted in Cincinnati. Founded in 1992 by Dr. Catherine Roma and Bishop Todd O’Neal, the group is part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Coalition in Cincinnati. With a repertoire spanning spirituals, protest songs, world music, and pop, the MLK Chorale serves as the musical heartbeat of the MLK Day Commemorative Program at Music Hall. The choir welcomes singers from area churches, mosques, synagogues, and diverse community groups, reflecting a commitment to unity through music.
