Martin Pearlman is a pivotal figure in the world of Baroque music. As the founder of Boston Baroque (originally Banchetto Musicale) in 1973–74, he established North America’s first permanent Baroque orchestra, bringing historically informed performances to life with period instruments, scholarly rigor, and engaging artistry.
