Matt Hill blends electric blues, rock and roll, and a raunchy, crowd-pleasing stage presence that draws on the hell-raising energy of Howlin’ Wolf and Jerry Lee Lewis. Born June 17, 1985 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Hill rose to prominence with his debut album On the Floor (2010) and its follow-up Tappin’ That Thang (2012), both released on Deep Fryed/Vizztone. A Blues Music Award winner for Best New Artist Debut in May 2011, Hill has since toured extensively, including Europe with his wife, blues singer Nikki Hill. Now based near St. Louis, Hill’s raw, high-energy performances continue to captivate blues and rock audiences alike. Here you’ll find his biography, discography highlights, and the latest on his touring activity.
