Matuto is a fearless fusion project that fuses Afro-Brazilian forms with American roots music. Formed in 2009 by Clay Ross and Rob Curto, the group first burst onto the scene at Recife, Brazil's REC BEAT festival. Since then, Matuto has carved a niche blending forró, maracatu, and samba with bluegrass, blues, and folk—creating a vibrant sound that travels across genres and continents.
