Meg Wolitzer is a prominent American novelist and performer whose work spans fiction, editing, and performance-based storytelling. Born May 28, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York, Wolitzer has crafted a number of acclaimed novels and has contributed to literary communities beyond the page. She serves as co-director of BookEnds, a novel-writing fellowship at Stony Brook Southampton, and has hosted symphony Space’s Selected Shorts, sharing staged readings with audiences across New York and beyond.
