The Metropolitan Riveters are a storied name in women’s professional hockey with roots tracing back to 2015, when the team began as the New York Riveters. In 2017 they rebranded after relocating to Newark and joining forces with the New Jersey Devils affiliate, becoming the Metropolitan Riveters. They captured the Isobel Cup in 2018 with a 1-0 victory over the Buffalo Beauts, cementing their place in league history. The team has played home games at Aviator Sports in Brooklyn (2015–2016), Barnabas Health Hockey House in Newark (2016–2022), and The Rink at American Dream Meadowlands in East Rutherford (2022–2023). While the PHF assets were sold and the league dissolved in 2023, the New York market remains active in the broader women’s hockey landscape with teams in the PWHL, including the New York Sirens. Follow their journey and secure your seats for future showcase events where available.
