Since 1989, the Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra (MVSO) has been bringing robust classical and pops programming to the Dayton, Ohio region. An all-volunteer ensemble, MVSO collaborates across dance and musical theatre, presenting accessible, energetic performances for families and music lovers alike. Under the baton of Awadagin Pratt beginning with the 2023–2024 season, MVSO continues to grow its community impact while maintaining the high musical standards that resonate with audiences across the city.

MVSO also runs a Youth Strings program (established 2016) to cultivate the next generation of musicians.
