Background notes: Kamuf holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance and Music Education from Youngstown State University and a Master of Arts in Instrumental Conducting from George Mason University. He has performed with the Woody Herman and Tommy Dorsey orchestras and served as assistant principal trumpet of the Youngstown Symphony. In addition to conducting and teaching with MCPS, he directed the Bands program at John T. Baker Middle School. Kamuf's publications include the respected Beauteous Spirit, an Alfred score/orchestral work inspired by a family rabbit, showcased as an Alfred edition with a preview video.
