Modesto Symphony Youth Orchestra Tickets

The Modesto Symphony Youth Orchestra (MSYO) is the two-tier youth program of the Modesto Symphony Orchestra, featuring the MSYO Concert Orchestra (Grades 5–9) and the MSYO Symphony Orchestra (Grades 9–12). Based in Modesto, California, MSYO provides high-level orchestral training, performance opportunities, and a pathway to further musical leadership. Rehearsals run on Wednesdays from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, with the 2025–26 season beginning August 27, 2025. Both ensembles present a three-concert series at the Gallo Center for the Arts, along with regional and international engagements. Auditions are open to prospective students seeking to grow as orchestral musicians, share the stage with peers, and gain real-world performance experience.

Season highlights for 2025–26 include the MSYO Season Opening Concert on November 15, 2025 at 2:00 pm, the MSYO Spring Concert on February 14, 2026 at 2:00 pm, and the MSYO Season Finale Concert on May 9, 2026 at 2:00 pm — all at the Gallo Center for the Arts. Historically, the MSYO Concert Orchestra has toured San Francisco, Sacramento, and the Central Valley, while the MSYO Symphony Orchestra has performed across the United States and worldwide, including England, France, Japan, Eastern Europe, Canada, and China. MSYO also engages in side-by-side performances, classroom outreach, and active auditions for aspiring musicians. Alumni leadership is evident, with members like Rylan Post named concertmaster of the Mariposa Yosemite Symphony Orchestra in 2024.
