Moon & Stars Festival began as Moon+Stars in 2004, born from a memorable 2003 R.E.M. concert on Piazza Grande in Locarno, Switzerland. Since then, it has grown into a multi-night, flagship summer festival that draws tens of thousands of music lovers to the picturesque shores of Lake Maggiore. The festival spans 9–11 nights each July, with a mix of headline acts, intimate Piazzetta performances, and a vibrant Food & Music Street featuring 20+ food trucks.
