The Nasdaq 100 Open traces its roots to 1985, a landmark tennis event named for its Nasdaq sponsor (QQQ). Over the years it evolved through branding shifts—from Nasdaq branding in the early era to Sony Ericsson sponsorship in 2007, and eventually the modern Miami Open presented by Itaú. Originally hosted at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne, the tournament found a new home at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens in 2019, continuing as a premier stop on the global tennis calendar. The late-March window remains the norm for the Miami Open, with official 2025 dates anticipated to fall around March 16–30, 2025. The event has hosted unforgettable moments—from Federer and Nadal’s first meeting in 2004 to Agassi’s dominant runs in 2003 and 2005—cementing its status as a cornerstone of tennis history.
