National Choreography Residency (MANCC) is one of the United States’ two national residency centers for choreography, housed within Florida State University’s School of Dance in Tallahassee. Since its founding in 2004, MANCC has become a national leader in supporting the creative process for choreographers through Core Residencies, Forward Dialogues, Artist Laboratories, Archive Residencies, embedded writers, and ongoing publications. Their work is funded and recognized by major funders, including the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the Mellon Foundation, underscoring MANCC’s role as a trusted facilitator for contemporary dance.
