Since becoming a National Geographic contributor in 2012, he has earned prestigious honors such as the Lennart Nilsson Award (2009), the Royal Photographic Society Award (2022), and the National Geographic Society Wayfinder Award (2022). Tafreshi’s projects, including Life at Night Atlas (since 2023) and From Above & Below (since 2024), continue to push the boundaries of celestial storytelling.
