NEWVoices is a dynamic Wisconsin-based vocal ensemble with a heritage dating back to 1978. Founded as the Wisconsin Vocal Ensemble, the group later became the White Heron Chorale before rebranding as NEWVoices under the artistic leadership of Dr. Phillip Swan. The ensemble is known for its expansive repertoire, spanning jazz, folk, contemporary, classical sacred, musical theatre, madrigal, gospel, and spirituals. NEWVoices is committed to community engagement and musical education, earning the Education and Community Engagement Award from Chorus America for outreach efforts.

With a collaborative spirit, NEWVoices frequently partners with regional ensembles, most notably the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra, and regularly performs at Lawrence Memorial Chapel in Appleton and other major venues across the region. The group continues to push artistic boundaries while staying grounded in accessible, uplifting performances that resonate with diverse audiences.

Upcoming highlights for NEWVoices include the world premiere of Timothy C. Takach's We Are Phoenix on April 5, 2025 at Lawrence Memorial Chapel, Appleton. The 2025 tour features the Rise Above the Ashes performance in Appleton, a Grand Finale at Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, and a retrospective program exploring personal journeys, including Unexpected News: A Personal Journey with Parkinson's Disease. The holiday season brings Christmas at the Chapel: Good News (of Great Joy) in Green Bay on December 19, 2025 and in Appleton on December 20, 2025.
