Nicknamed for his dual-language approach, Nico Play is the musical project of Nicolás Perea, a Mexico City-born artist who builds his sound from a blend of Spanish and English lyrics. Based in Chicago, Nico Play crafts intimate indie-pop and lo-fi tracks that resonate with diverse audiences across the U.S. His work reflects a diasporic perspective, combining warm melodies with storytelling that spans both sides of the border.
