Nitzer Ebb is a foundational force in electronic body music (EBM) and industrial dance. Formed in 1982, the project became known for its stark rhythms, aggressive synthpunk edge, and high-energy performances. Led by Bon Harris and Douglas McCarthy, with varied lineups over the years, Nitzer Ebb helped shape the sound that bridged post-punk attitude with club-ready percussion. The band famously opened for Depeche Mode on the Music for the Masses European tour in 1987, bringing their relentless beats to huge audiences and influencing a generation of electronic acts.
