Formed in 2005 in Tokyo under the name Shinko Shukyo Gakudan NoGoD, the group adopted a streamlined identity as NoGoD to reach a broader audience without losing their distinct edge. They blend elements of art pop and rock, traversing indie beginnings through major-label releases, and continually reinvent their sound while maintaining a strong live presence across Japan.

Key moments in NoGoD’s journey include their major debut with Kakera on King Records in August 2010 (Europe via CLJ), and a series of influential releases that kept evolving from indie-era Art Pop/ Terakoya sensibilities to expansive studio albums and best-of collections. In 2024–2025, they released 神髄 -OMNIBUS- and Le: VOYAGE (20th Anniversary Best), with digital and physical formats expanding their reach through King Records and JPU Records. In 2025, NoGoD launched a nationwide 20th anniversary tour, “VISION QUEST,” running from September 27 to December 7 across 20 cities in Japan.
