The North Charleston Pops is a nonprofit, city-supported orchestra based at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center in North Charleston, South Carolina. With a mission to bring popular music to the stage—from Broadway favorites and movie scores to jazz and rock—the ensemble also expands music education through its PopsKids program. Under the baton of Music Director and Conductor Maestro Nick Palmer, now in his 10th season, the Pops deliver accessible, high-caliber performances that appeal to families and longtime concertgoers alike. Palmer has led major U.S. and international ensembles and has recorded with the London Philharmonic at Abbey Road, adding to the group’s reputation for world-class artistry.
