Known for his expressive harmonica playing and soulful vocals, Norton Buffalo was a pivotal figure in rock, blues, and Americana from 1976 to 2009. A long-time member of the Steve Miller Band, he enriched every project with his distinctive blistering harmonica and warm vocal tones. Outside the Miller orbit, he collaborated with Roy Rogers on R&B-infused projects, contributed to Roots of Our Nature, and performed with a host of respected artists including Laurie Lewis and Merl Saunders. Although he passed away in 2009, Norton Buffalo's music continues to resonate through archival releases, tributes, and the ongoing work of his official site. This page celebrates his life, music, and enduring influence in the Bay Area and beyond.
