Once Upon An Orchestra Tickets

Once Upon An Orchestra brings beloved children’s books to life with a live orchestral score performed by the Louisville Orchestra. Presented in partnership with the Louisville Free Public Library, these family-friendly performances are free and open to all ages with no RSVP required. The experience blends read-aloud storytelling, participatory audience moments, and pre-show crafts using recycled materials. Attendees even get the chance to play homemade instruments, making classical music approachable and FUN for young listeners.

Seasoned for 2024–2025 and extending into 2026, the program travels across multiple Louisville metro library branches, including Main, Parkland, Newburg, Crescent Hill, Shawnee, and more. 2025 highlights feature stories like Fly, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, And Tango Makes Three, and If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, with nine events scheduled across fall and winter 2025.
