The Oscar Peterson Centennial Quartet (OPCQ) is a dynamic ensemble formed in 2025 to celebrate the enduring legacy of Oscar Peterson, one of jazz piano’s most influential figures. The core lineup blends virtuosity and storytelling to bring Peterson’s iconic compositions and jazz standards to life on stage. Featuring Robi Botos on piano, Mike Downes on bass, Jim Doxas on drums, and Ulf Wakenius on guitar, OPCQ delivers a multimedia concert experience that blends masterful improvisation with insightful narration. On select shows, Céline Peterson may join as emcee, adding a personal connection to the Peterson family history.
