Originating in 1997 in San Francisco, Osees began as Orinoka Crash Suite and progressively evolved through a series of identity changes—OCS, The Oh Sees, Oh Sees, Thee Oh Sees—before adopting the current name. This lineage reflects a band that refuses to stay in one lane, embracing a spectrum that blends garage grit, hypnotic psychedelia, driving Krautrock rhythms, and a punk ethos.
