Pete Ellman leads the Pete Ellman Big Band, a dynamic jazz ensemble formed in 2009 after Ellman retired from the Illinois Air National Guard. Known for big band swing, classic jazz repertoire, and active educational outreach, the band collaborates with student ensembles and brings jazz history to life for audiences of all ages. Beyond performances, the band supports Giving Instruments For Teaching Students (GIFTS), directing more than half of album proceeds to provide youth with access to instruments.
