Peter Tiboris (October 31, 1947 – September 17, 2024) was a renowned American conductor and a driving force behind large-scale, accessible classical music programming. Born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Tiboris founded MidAmerica Productions in 1984, serving as General Music Director and expanding the organization into a global network that produced 1,500+ concerts. He also launched MidAm International and the Festival of the Aegean on Syros, Greece, and developed Elysium Recordings, a label dedicated to premier recordings and new interpretations of classical repertoire.
