Peter Tiboris (October 31, 1947 – September 17, 2024) was a renowned American conductor and a driving force behind large-scale, accessible classical music programming. Born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Tiboris founded MidAmerica Productions in 1984, serving as General Music Director and expanding the organization into a global network that produced 1,500+ concerts. He also launched MidAm International and the Festival of the Aegean on Syros, Greece, and developed Elysium Recordings, a label dedicated to premier recordings and new interpretations of classical repertoire.

Known for vigorous, precise conducting and ambitious concert productions, Tiboris led orchestras and choirs across more than 20 countries, with a notable Asian conducting debut in 2016 with the Macau Symphony Orchestra. His discography spans 1992–2023, featuring world and premiere recordings with the Pan-European Philharmonia of Warsaw and Elysium Recordings. His legacy continues through ongoing programming and memorial initiatives at MidAmerica Productions.
