Pierre Bleuse has established himself as a dynamic conductor known for his leadership of ensembles that champion contemporary music and high-level orchestral repertoire. In 2023/24 he assumed the role of Music Director with Ensemble Intercontemporain, one of the world’s premier organizations for contemporary music, following a distinguished path as a conductor and collaborator with major European orchestras. Since 2021, he has also held the post of Chief Conductor with the Odense Symphony Orchestra, guiding the ensemble through ambitious programs. In 2021, Bleuse became Artistic Director of the Festival Pablo Casals de Prades, where he curates thoughtful programming that honors tradition while exploring new works. His leadership has been highlighted in major publications, including Le Monde (2024) and The Guardian (2025) for his Ligeti cycle with the Ensemble Intercontemporain.
