Pierre Flynn is a cornerstone of Quebec's Francophone music scene. A founding member of the landmark progressive rock group Octobre (1972–1982), Flynn helped shape French-language rock with intricate arrangements and thoughtful lyrics. After Octobre, he launched a solo career that spans from the late 1980s to the mid-2010s, releasing acclaimed albums on Audiogram and earning multiple ADISQ nominations. In 2021, he was inducted into the Panthéon des auteurs et compositeurs canadiens for La maudite machine, cementing his legacy in Canadian songwriting.
