Pipp Gillette is a Texas-based performer renowned for his brand of traditional cowboy songs, minstrelsy-inflected western folk, and captivating storytelling. Based near Lovelady and Crockett, Texas, he also helps run the Camp Street Cafe & Store in Crockett, a hub for Texas cowboy-poetry networks and live performances. Pipp performs as part of the Gillette musical legacy, collaborating with his late brother Guy and with the celebrated poet-performer Waddie Mitchell. His craft blends guitar, banjo, harmonica, and bones into a vivid soundscape of American roots music.
