Polaroid Summer is an Houston-born duo delivering a distinctive blend of alternative pop, new wave, and indie rock. Formed in 2017 from members of VerseCity and Lost Element, the group released their debut single The Giant in 2017, followed by a string of early singles that helped establish their signature sound: Tides, Eye of the Storm, and Stars and Satellites. In 2022, Polaroid Summer shifted from a four-piece to a duo—Micaiah Walker and Brian Barrett—unveiling A Little Bit Closer as their first duet-led single. The duo continued to evolve with the 2024 EP West Coast Money and released the single Sober in April 2025. Recognized as a top act by Music Connection Magazine and a New Band of the Year at the APCCA awards, Polaroid Summer has shared stages at events like Muse Expo in Los Angeles. Based in Texas but with a growing national footprint, they keep fans engaged through active social channels and streaming platforms.
