POPulus originated in fall 2012 as a student-led pop music ensemble at Troy University, born from the John M. Long School of Music. Over the years, POPulus has evolved into a versatile performer blending pop, rock, hip-hop, country, and R&B. The project features covers and original songs penned by talented music-industry students, reflecting a collaborative spirit and a commitment to live performance. From a ten-year anniversary celebration to the release of ENCORE, POPulus has become a regular presence on campus and in the community with performances at venues like the Dothan Opera House and Troy Fest.
