BIOGRAPHY & MISSION
- Founded under the Presidio Performing Arts Foundation (est. 1998), PDT launched in 2005 with a mission to empower women through contemporary and classical dance.
- Executive & Artistic Director Sherene Melania is a renowned choreographer and arts educator, former San Francisco Arts Commissioner, founding President of UNESCO CID West, and holds an MA in Education from Harvard. Her international study includes ballet direction in Russia.
- Signature style blends ethnically diverse movements with classical ballet, producing works like Beyond the Land of Sweets, The Little Lantern Ballet, and Dancing Across Cultures.
