Since its charter on December 26, 1945, Pride of Iowa Chorus has stood at the heart of Des Moines’ barbershop tradition. Operating under the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Central States District, the chorus brings classic four-part harmony to schools, churches, sports venues, senior centers, and large events like the Iowa State Fair and Hoyt Sherman Place. Led by director Randy Wier, the chorus typically engages 80+ active members who devote themselves to authentic, bright four-part arrangements and community outreach.
