Rapid Eye Movement emerged in the summer of 1980 in London, formed by Dave Stewart (Hatfield/National Health), Pip Pyle (drums), Rick Biddulph (bass), and Jakko Jakszyk (guitar and vocals). Known for blending Canterbury scene sensibilities with experimental and avant-garde tendencies, the group carved a distinct niche in early 1980s progressive rock. Although their initial run was brief, their live energy and inventive approach left a lasting impression on fans of the Canterbury circle.
